Pappy + Harriet's

Pioneertown itself is quite unique, with Hollywood investors attempting to create a living movie set of a town. So there is a specific look to the desert locale to begin with. But in 1982, Harriet and Claude “Pappy” Allen took what was once a “cantina” set and made it into a functioning bar and restaurant, adding music into the mix as well. Over the years, they’ve welcomed rock legends to the stage, but more recently seem to be finding momentum with indie rock bands passing through. With killer BBQ-style food on the menu and a handy bar to kill some time, this desert oasis is one you definitely don’t want to miss.
